Specify the default socket timeout (in milliseconds) after which an EDI process stops waiting for data. If there is a communication failure and a delay in getting the required information, a timeout occurs in the default socket and N4 displays a SocketTimeOutexception error message. A value of zero for the FTP_READ_WRITE_TIMEOUT setting is interpreted as an infinite timeout.
